MSA Safety FieldServer ProtoNode Gateway Now Available in Pacific-Asia Region

KUALA LUMPUR, September 30, 2025 – MSA Safety, Inc. (NYSE: MSA), a global leader in the development of advanced safety products and solutions that help protect people and facility infrastructures, today announced the launch of the FieldServer ProtoNode Gateway industrial connectivity solution in the Pacific-Asia Region.

The FieldServer ProtoNode Gateway provides remote monitoring capabilities via cloud communications to various fixed detection monitoring systems, including all MSA Safety Modbus and BACNet protocol Fixed Gas and Flame Detectors in the field, as well as devices from other manufacturers. FieldServer Gateways are versatile, cyber-secure, easy-to-configure devices that serve as entry points to the cloud for data communication and processing between internet-connected products and network protocols.

Available connectivity options for the FieldServer ProtoNode Gateway are Modbus RTU (serial) and Modbus TCP (Ethernet) protocols and BACNet IP protocols. The connectivity enables remote monitoring and control; cloud-based alarm notifications via email for faults or alarms; and data visualization through MSA Grid dashboards.  

MSA Safety detection solutions compatible for the FieldServer ProtoNode Gateway include the General Monitors® FL500/FL500-H2 Flame Detector, General Monitors® FL5000 Flame Detector, General Monitors® S5000 Gas Detector, Observer® i Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector, Senscient ELDS™ Laser Based Open Path Gas Detector (OPGD), SENTRY io® Fire and Gas Detection Controller, SUPREMATouch, and ULTIMA® X5000 Gas Detector.

Key features enabled by the FieldServer ProtoNode Gateway include:

  • Worksite Remote Monitoring and Notifications: Enhanced site safety with secure remote access for diagnostics, monitoring, alarming, and configuration of products in the field.
  • Asset Management and Performance: Supports remote access and monitoring of MSA Safety detectors and controllers and third-party products/systems for a concise understanding of each device’s function and status.
  • Compliance Insights and Management: Streamline inspections at a glance with calibration audits and functional verifications
